1950-1956

The Beginning
Dhanani & Sons was established in 1950. In 1956, with the nationalization of insurance companies and the formation of LIC, Dhanani & Sons began its journey with LIC, marking the beginning of a strong partnership.
1956-1972

Rising Recognition
By 1972-73, Mr. Nemidas S. Dhanani became the first member from the Kutchi community to qualify for LIC's prestigious Chairman’s Club, setting a foundation of excellence that would define the family’s future in the industry.
1972-1987

Achieving Milestones
In 1987-88, Mr. Rohit N. Dhanani qualified for the Chairman’s Club and Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) USA, becoming the first Kutchi community member to achieve this. By 1993-94, he was the top agent in Mumbai with ₹3.26 Cr in sum assured and achieved the highest business in LIC's ASHA DEEP Plan.
1997-2002

Expanding Influence
In 1997-98, Mr. Nemidas Dhanani became a life member of the Chairman’s Club after 25 consecutive years. In 2001-02, Mr. Rohit and Mrs. Rina Dhanani made history as the first Indian couple to qualify for the prestigious “Top of the Table” in MDRT, with Mr. Rohit ranking 1st in Mumbai and 3rd in India.
2002-2007

New Generations and Leadership
Mr. Rahul R. Dhanani joined the business in 2000, continuing the legacy. By 2007-08, Mr. Rohit Dhanani achieved life membership in MDRT after qualifying for 10 consecutive years. He also became the first Indian to serve on MDRT’s Constitution, By-Laws, and Ethics Committee.
2007-2013

Achieving New Heights
In 2013, Ms. Foram Dhanani Bejdas joined and qualified for MDRT in her first year. That same year, Mr. Rahul R. Dhanani became a member of LIC's Chairman’s Club and continued to maintain his spot in the Corporate Club.
2013-2018

Expanding Success
In 2016, Dhanani & Sons reached a new milestone with a total business crossing ₹500 Cr in sum assured. Mr. Rahul R. Dhanani was invited to speak at the MDRT conferences in Orlando (2017), Los Angeles (2018), and Sydney (2019), further establishing their industry leadership.
2018-2023

Continued Growth and Leadership
By 2023, the business crossed ₹750 Cr in sum assured. Mr. Rahul R. Dhanani was appointed Country Chair for India by MDRT and became Vice President of LIAFI. In 2024, Mrs. Foram Dhanani Bejdas received the Young Entrepreneur and Leadership Award, underscoring the family’s ongoing legacy of excellence and leadership.
